The recipes in the Brownback Family Cookbook represent typical examples of the tried and true dishes made famous by the men and women of the Brownback family over a period of 250 years.
Virgina Graham is a native of Chester County and a seventh-generation descendant of Gerhard and Mary Rittenhouse Brownback. She was born on a dairy farm and later lived for many years on a horse farm where the family recipes were used daily. All are from her collection.
She has previously written a "Township Guide of Northern Chester County" and also a "Valley Forge Coloring Book." The family cookbook was done in recognition of the 297th anniversary, 1683-1980, of the Brownback family in America.
