"We met next day as he had arranged, and inspected the rooms at No. 221B Baker Street, of which he had spoken at our meeting. They consisted of a couple of comfortable bedrooms and a large airy sitting room, cheerfully furnished, and illuminated by two broad windows."
Thus the world was introduced to the flat that would serve as the residence of Sherlock Holmes, consulting detective, and his faithful friend, Dr. John H. Watson. A number of re-creations of the famous sitting room have been assembled. To the right, a photo of the artifacts originally displayed during the 1952 Festival of Britain, now residing at the Sherlock Holmes Pub in London . Other re-creations can be found at the 'Sherlock Museum' in London and in Meiringen, Switzerland.

A number of members and friends of the White Rose Irregulars are also members of the 'Baker Street Builders,' a scion society for Sherlockians who have constructed a full- scale replica of the 221B sitting room or other relevant full scale replica.
