About Big Antler

Big Antler Bed & Breakfast was established in 1957. It was originally built and owned by John Brown as a hunting cabin for his family, but was converted into a bed and breakfast after the property was passed on to his son, Gabe Brown. Gabe is now the owner of Big Antler and aims to provide guests with the relaxed, family atmosphere from his childhood. Big Antler also aims to support local businesses and provide education about hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors. The cabin received an upgrade in 2008 to include such luxuries as heated floors, a massive trophy room, and a casual den in addition to the main lounge area. Although we've gotten a little more high-class, Big Antler doesn't forget its rustic roots.

About the Pocono Mountains

Big Antler is located in a remote area of the Pocono Mountains. Here, you'll have the opportunity to hunt gray squirrels, whitetail deer, grouse, pheasants, turkeys, coyotes, bears, rabbits, and more. (Provided you have obtained the proper licenses.) the climate tends to be a bit cooler in our area due to the high altitude. Snow fall typically begins by early November and lasts well into March. Summer nights also tend to be chilly. For this reason, we recommend checking the local weather when packing for your stay.
The Poconos have long been a popular rural getaway, offering activites such as camping, skiing, and boating. Here, you will find spectacular mountain views and endless adventures.
