Chef Dan Funk
"To taste is to believe." One bite of his signature New Orleans cuisine will have you saying the "F" word – Funk, that is. Chef Dan Funk has cultivated an extraordinary love for all things culinary and, as they say, the proof is in the pudding. This expert chef is renowned for his modern twists on classic Cajun dishes, creating mouthwatering meals you have only dreamed about. His insatiable passion for cooking began as a boy growing up in Brookhaven, PA and has evolved throughout the years into a culinary legacy.
Author of his own book – "The Secret Formula," Dan's list of awards and achievements are as wide-spread as they are prestigious. From a multitude of "Best of" wins and "Top Restaurant" honors to owning and operating New Orleans Café, Chef Dan Funk has garnered a well deserved reputation of excellence. With over 23 years experience in the restaurant industry, Dan has a lot of accomplishments to hang his hat on, but what does he love most? "People enjoying my food; what a great feeling."

Owner Donnie Moore
The Social Lounge may be considered the new kid on the restaurant and bar block if you find yourself strolling down Gay Street in West Chester, but step inside and you’ll see the over 17 years of experience owner Donnie Moore has in the restaurant business. A relaxing vibe, mouthwatering menus, and unbelievable live entertainment are what you will find when you walk through the door. Featuring a wraparound bar, a stage set for West Chester’s unbelievable local bands, and couches made for lounging, The Social Lounge is the premier destination for the perfect night (or day!) out.
Owner Donnie Moore has been the proud owner of Café Chacane, Rex’s Bar and Grill, as well as operating the popular concert venue The Note, and can now add The Social Lounge to his impressively successful repertoire.
The Social is proud to be one of many locally owned small businesses in West Chester and list itself along with the likes of established brands such as Calista Grand.
