Ken Bordfeld first became interested in photography after marveling at the beautiful photography of Ansel Adams. Soon after receiving a copy of Adams book 400 Photographs he decided to take his first photography trip to Yosemite National Park. Yosemite opened new doors to him and, in spite of many mistakes he was totally hooked on photography. He also became a student of photography and studied the work of past masters such as Alfred Steiglitz, Josef Sudek, and Eugene Atget. In learning about these icons of photography, new doors opened up resulting in changes in his aesthetic. Ken has traveled to many national, and state parks as well of photographing near his home in Monmouth County, NJ.
