Too many times we hear the horror stories about "puppy mills". There is an old saying..."if it sounds too good to be true...it probably is!" Sure the initial price might sound good, but all too often are we finding that these animals are locked in a cage all day. Never to feel sunshine on their faces or feel the grass on their feet. Never giving these precious creatures the care and attention they need and deserve!

Never blindly purchase a pet. Visit the breeder to see the environment your new family member has been raised in. Ask to see the parents if possible, this way you can be sure that they are healthy and also see their temperment. You can learn a lot about your new puppy by seeing his/her parent's personality and appearance.
