ArtsQuest is a Bethlehem-based nonprofit dedicated to presenting music, arts, festivals, cultural experiences and educational and outreach programs that aid in economic development, urban revitalization and community enrichment. Through festivals such as its flagship event, Musikfest; the Banana Factory Arts Center; and the ArtsQuest Center and SteelStacks arts and cultural campus, ArtsQuest’s programming reaches more than 1.5 million people annually. Below is my process of recreating ArtsQuest website for desktop and moblie that is more user friendly.
PERSONAS
The purpose of personas is to create realistic representations of your audience, the people who would ideally be testing your app. Here are a combination of sever personas for my font app.
SCENARIOS
Above I have a list of 10 scenarios. We set it up the most ideal way that the users would use the app. Scenarios are a step by step process telling the users what to do to test out the app.
WIREFRAMES
Before designing apps in the computer, us designers start
layouting our process called wireframes or paper prototypes. The wireframes are our little
to design the user process of apps rather than the "look" of it.
The idea is to create multiple paper layouts that is most user friendly for the users. Above are some examples.
PROCESS FLOW
The process visually explains the naviagation of the app. It explains the sequences of movements the users would use to get to one step to the next.
UXPIN
On a site called uxpin, we set up our scenarios. This is supposed to look like wireframes and not visually pleasing. The idea for this is telectronically user test the app through the phone and or computer. Above are two videos showing a few scenarios for desktop and moblie.
INVISION
Invision is the final step of our user testing. It is similar to uxpin but this is more visually pleasing of how the app would look. Again, the users follow through the scenarios. Above are two videos representing the final version of ArtsQuest for desktop and moblie.
