SKEETER'S: A SELINSGROVE RESTAURANT
Skeeter’s Pit BBQ has been serving the Susquehanna Valley since July 2005, earning a loyal customer base and making new friends almost every day. Ours is a family-friendly atmosphere designed so you can enjoy a fast/casual dinner with the kids, family and friends, lunch with friends or business associates and, twice each month on Sunday night, the best in local and regional music.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our meals – from our signature ribs to our famous pulled-pork barbeque, chicken, and brisket – or if you can’t decide, try a combo. For lighter fare we offer Wraps and Sandwiches with pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, or veggies. A bit of finger food can get you started, and our salads feature our pork, beef and brisket as well. Of course, you may want to add a side of fries, beans, a corn muffin or cole slaw. We have a Kid’s Menu too. Enjoy your meal with a beverage, a glass of wine, or beer (by the glass or the pitcher). Be sure to save some room for dessert. Skeeter has a sweet tooth, but can never make up his mind. Our dessert menu is always changing.

The Skotedis family has been in the restaurant business in the Susquehanna Valley for over 50 years. Skeeter’s Pit BBQ was created to offer an affordable dining experience with the highest quality food in a friendly, casual atmosphere. Located on the bluff overlooking the Susquehanna River at the intersection of Routes 11 and 15 in Shamokin Dam, the sights are nothing less than spectacular – in all seasons. Owner and Founder John Skotedis describes Skeeter’s Pit BBQ as “like dining in a treehouse!”
