Hi, my name is Sarah King, and I'm the woman behind the camera at Capturing Fireflies Photography. I've been behind the camera all of my life. Since I was the first grandchild on both sides of the family, someone always had a camera out taking pictures. My mom tells me by the age of two I was 'done' with smiling pretty for the camera - I wanted to be on the other side of the camera, and that's where I've been ever since; it has became my passion.
I began my photography business in early 2009 with the purchase of my first DSLR. I quickly learned the mechanics of using the camera, but more importantly I learned I loved to use natural light as much as possible; the results achieved are more beautiful than any manufactured lighting, bar none. I consider myself a lifestyle photographer, taking inspiration from the textures, scenery, and lighting around me. I continue to learn everyday and am very thankful I am able to immerse myself in my passion each day.
Capturing Fireflies Photography offers on-location, Natural Light Photography in the Central Pennsylvania area, as well as Newborns sessions (preferably 1 to 10 days old). I've also teamed up with a Hair Salon in Richfield, PA where we offer Glamour Shot packages a few times a year.
