Sunday Mac'n Cheese:A Family Favorite

Ingredients

  • 1 Box of Elbow Macaroni Noodles
  • 1 pound of American Cheese
  • 1 bag of Cheddar Cheese
  • Half a Stick of Butter
  • 1/2TB Garlic Powder
  • 1/2TB Onion Powder
  • 2TSP Black Pepper
  • 2TSP Dried Parsley
  • 1&1/2 Cup of Milk
  • 1TB Flour
  • TSP Chili Powder
  • Salt to Taste
  • Breadcrumbs

Step By Step

  1. preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Bring water to a boil and place noodles in boiling water
  3. When noodles are cooked thoroughly, drain and place noodles in bowl and set aside
  4. In on other pot pour milk and butter on low heat until all is melted
  5. Add cheeses(little by little)*SAVE ENOUGH AMERICAN CHEESE FOR THE TOP OF THE PAN*
  6. Add flour, Turn to medium heat and stir thoroughly
  7. Once cheese sauce mixture is a thick consistency add noodles to pot and mix
  8. Turn off heat and add mac’n cheese to buttered pan
  9. Place the remaining American cheese slices on top of the mac’n cheese
  10. Brush butter over American cheese
  11. *OPTIONAL* melt some butter in a mug and pour breadcrumbs into it an mix then place mixture onto top of mac’n cheese
  12. Place in oven Bake until top is golden brown
