Helping Hand is made for those in the
sharing mood! When you open the app, you will first be taken to the homepage. From there, you will see numerous fundraiser posts in your local area. While viewing the fundraiser, you can dontate, message the host, comment, or leave a like! Want to
message someone? With Helping Hand, all it takes is one tap to view your messages.
You also can go to the search tab, where you can either search for a specific fundraiser, or do a filtered search from four different categories.
In the create section, you are promted with the option to either start a fundraiser, or make a profile post. Whichever you choose, you first need to pick out a picture that all viewers first see to get a good
impression. When creating a post, you then create a caption, then you are ready to post! If you chose a fundraiser, you need to give a brief description about the fundraiser and your mission. You choose one of the four
categories, that helps with the filtered search. You then choose the donation goal, and select the duration of your fundaiser.
Viewing notifications are very simple. In that tab, you can view all of the likes and the donations you received.
While viewing your own profile, thats where you can view the settings. In the settings, you can make changes to your
profile picture or your bio. Also, you can modify the viewing distance, and you have the option of how close or far the
fundraisers you can view. Lastly, you can view how much money you raised and donated as well.
1. A tragedy struck a family during a hurricane. The family is struggling to get by after losing their house and majority of their belongings. They start up a fundraiser on this app by linking their Venmo to their profile. It ends up catching on in the community, and it helps them get by during a tragedy.
2. Someone wants to help getting involved inside of their community. They download the app just to see if they can help in any way. They end up finding the profile of one of their former grade school friends. The person messages the old friend to learn even more about their situation. The person ends up donating to the fundraiser and helps promote it on other social media platforms.
3. A person gets in a car accident, leaving them in critical condition. This person really has no family and cannot afford to pay the bills themselves. Their friend does research and download the app just to see how it goes. They start up a fundraiser and catches traction not only from a community level, but a national level.
4. A struggling family starts a fundraiser, to try and raise money for their daughter’s 16th birthday. The family sends it out to their extended family who lives out across the country. Obviously, the family lives very far away, so it most likely won’t come up on their homepage. So, they simply go to the search bar and find the fundraiser and are now able to donate.

People were able to navigate through my app relatively easily.
It took some people a little bit to find out where to view donations received.
Everyone was able to figure out how to create a post.
I also removed the DM button after leaving the homepage because people were trying to create a new message from there.
In this app you can only message people by viewing their fundraiser, and then through their profile.
Almost everyone went to the settings to change the viewing distance.
