TypeSpace is your very own font identifer app! Ever look at a great magazine and have no idea what font is the nameplate or see a cool billboard with crazy, fun copy. With the font app, all you need to do is take a picture of the font and you instantly have the file in your hands! With the file, you also have font pairs, examples and can easily purchase it! Typespace not only tells you the fonts you are looking for, but also has a create section. This section ables you to customize and upload personal fonts. It also has fun learning games!
PERSONAS
The purpose of personas is to create realistic representations of your audience, the people who would ideally be testing your app. Here are a combination of five personas for my font app.
SCENARIOS
Above I have a list of 10 scenarios. We set it up the most ideal way that the users would use the app. Scenarios are a step by step process telling the users what to do to test out the app.
WIREFRAMES
Before designing apps in the computer, us designers start
layouting our process called wireframes or paper prototypes. The wireframes are our little
to design the user process of apps rather than the "look" of it.
The idea is to create multiple paper layouts that is most user friendly for the users. Above are some examples.
PROCESS FLOW
The process visually explains the naviagation of the app. It explains the sequences of movements teh users would use to get to one step to the next. Here I have my home screen set up as being the search page, then within my my nav is the font folder, learn and create section, camera, and browse.
UXPIN
On a site called uxpin, we set up our scenarios. This is supposed to look like wireframes and not visually pleasing. The idea for this is telectronically user test the app through the phone and or computer. Above is video showing a few scenarios.
INVISION
Invision is the final step of our user testing. It is similar to uxpin but this is more visually pleasing of how the app would look. Again, the users follow through the scenarios. Above are two videos representing the final version of TypeSpace.
