Biography

Australian actor, Heath Ledger was a well-known and well-loved man who was most popular for his role as the “Joker” starring in Batman. He also embodied roles such as Gabriel in The Patriot, Patrick Verona in 10 Things I Hate About You and Ennis Del Mar from Brokeback Mountain along with many other roles. At the young age of 28, on January 22 of 2008, he sadly passed away with the cause of death of an accidental overdose. His memories will live on forever through his films. “When I die, my money is not gonna come with me. My movies will live on for people to judge what I was as a person. Heath’s first role was in a school play, Peter Pan, aged 10.
As a young lad, Heath loved Chuck Norris.
His first starring role where he beat Ashton Kutcher and Josh Hartnett was in 10 Things I Hate About You.
For his iconic role in The Dark Knight, Ledger, using the cosmetics and clown makeup, designed the Joker’s make-up himself.
Not only was Ledger a brilliant actor but was a brilliant chess player too, completing the Australia’s junior chess championship only while he was 10 years of age.
He choreographed a 60-person dance routine for a nationwide high school competition… and won.
Jake Gyllenhaal is godfather to Ledger’s daughter.
