Analysis

1.

The first steps of the process was to come up with a mobile app that has never been done before. I ponderd for awhile and then realized that almost every app imaginable has already been created. After searching though apps that I use on a daily basis I came across one that identifies plants for you if you don't know what they care. Then I got an idea that, to my surprise, is not an app yet. I came up with the idea to make a mobile app that woks as a bug identifier, plus one that collects those bugs for you like a bug collection. Instead of going thoug the process of trapping, killing, drying, and modeling the bug you found. This app allows you to take a picture of your bug and then places it on a virtual bug wall under diffrent insect categories. With this app you can collect bugs, learn more about your favorite species, find out where to find them, and then share your finds with other bug lovers!

The Second stop of the Analysis process was to compare competitors apps to yours by making a list. The second step also included jotting down all of the features the app would have as well as some possible names.

A list of some possible names were:

Step 3 was to create personas for Bugs Board. We put ourselves in a few diffrent users shoes and figured out how and why they would choose to use this app. After coming up with persons we gave scenerios for each.

Wire Frame Sketches

Next I created rough wireframes on paper of how I wanted Bugs Board to look like. The roughs included sketches of where buttons, the nav, and text would go. The wire frames did not show color or even font styles. The sketches simply showed my idea of where I thought every aspect would work the best.

User Testing

The next step was to have individuals test our prototype. I read off a list of scenerios to my family members and watched the process they took to achieve the scenerio. As they worked their way through the scenerios I would monitor where they hesitated in making a decision or where they completely undertstood the choices they made. I noted the struggles and accomplishments each individual made so I could make the changes necessary to make my app UX friendly.
