RARE AND COLLECTIBLE VINYL RECORDS
Vinyl was created by Steve Salcedo (@stevesalcedo), a web creative director and regular record store patron based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, out of the desire to easily locate independent record stores in the United States. The first version of the site launched on July 25, 2006. In late 2011, Steve enlisted Thumb Tack Software, a developer based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to help launch the current Rails framework, including the ability to host international store profiles. In addition to ongoing maintenance of the site, Steve also updates VinylHunt’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Tumblr properties.
