UX Site Documentation

PART 1

Analysis of the Current UX

The analysis of the MyKU site (seen below) had multiple redundancies and as a result became confusing for users to navigate to enroll in classes, plan for upcoming classes, and add/drop classes. A non-responsive design also left a large amount of whitespace.

PART 2

Personas & Scenarios

As a result Personas were added to help in the overall design of the target audience. Scenarios were also added to assist in what their needs would be when coming to the website.

PART 3

Site Flowchart

An overall flowchart of enrollment was then documented to better understand the process.

PART 4

Wireframe Mockup

A wireframe mockup was drawn up first, and then created digitally in UXPin.

PART 5

User Testing

User testing results: For adding a class, several testers bypassed the main screen initially and went to the course catalog.
Other issues encountered: Drop class button and drop-down selection menu in certain instances were not functional.
Checkbox for checkmark of completed main core/distributions needed.

PART 6

Revision & Site Mockup

Revisions were then made based on the user testing and a new interactive mockup was created using inVision.

PART 7

Final Testing

Users found objectives much easier and with less confusion.
Although errors were found in the revision, final user testing was promising and yielded positive results.
