tales from the field

"I'm usually all over campus at events but this one event will always stand out the most to me. Two Kutztown alum got married and held the wedding reception at a winery right outside of Kutztown. They thought it would be a fun idea to invite me to come! I was so excited and honored to be able to attend this event, it was so much fun! I danced the night away and took so many pictures. It was certianly a night to remember for everyone who attended. I know that I will never forget that night, and I look forward to being invited to the next wedding reception!"

"I enjoy working in a zoo and being a part of a show there. I get to teach the guests with the help of my other cast members about teamwork, recycling and the other animals in the zoo. It's a fun little juggling show with great comedic timing. We have the best superfans that keep coming back to see the show, they are really supportive of all of us. We have even entered a video recording of our show into a competition and one year we won an award, I was even nominated for best female performer one year. It has been an amazing experience at the zoo and I have learned a lot along the way."

"I have experienced many memorable encounters with guests who come to the park, but one stands out a little more than the rest. I was at a character party dancing and this little girl started walking towards me. As soon as I saw her coming I stopped dancing and put my hand up for a high five. I wasn't sure how she was going to react to me but after some thought she opened up we took a picture together and she started dancing with me. We danced for awhile, until her mom told her that it was time to go. She didn't like that and started crying, she didn't want to leave. It was the cutest thing and by far one of my favorite memories I have."

"Four years ago this March, I took part in an in-game stunt where I was purported to be blindfolded. The trick, you see, was that I being blindfolded would run across the full length of the court, jump on the mini-tramp, and dunk a basketball. The rub, of course, is me being blindfolded which would make such a feat terribly difficult. The results are—as could be best described—unexpected. I ran past the mini-tramp, colliding into the popcorn vendor in the stands resulting in a huge mess."
