beautiful badass body mods!

If you're looking for an exciting, sexy, but spooky costume for Halloween this year, this "how to" is perfect for you. Dress up as a Dia de los Muertos sugar skull and turn your face into a work of art.

Follow these few simple steps to become a master.

You're going to need your basic make-up, a black liquid eye-liner brush or pen, colorful face paints, and of course jewels and glitter! Choose whatever brands are easily available to you. For this particular look we decided to only paint half of the face as the sugar skull and the other half natural. You are always welcome to paint the whole face.

  • Start with a clean face. Apply normal makeup to half of your face.
  • Use the black liquid liner to draw the shape of a flower around the whole eye. (As seen in photo.) You can fill this in with whatever paint color you desire.
  • Using the black liquid liner, add small black dots to the inner part of the flower and also some on the outside of the flower above the brow.
  • Draw a cute little heart on the cheek below the flower with the black liquid liner and fill in with paint color desired.
  • For a girly touch, add pearls or jewels to the top and bottom of the flower. You can also add some glitter to the outer petals for extra glam.
  • Now it's time for the spider web! Using the black liquid liner, carefully draw a nice spider web on the forehead. Apply some glitter to give it a nice shimmer finish.
  • Draw a cross in the middle of the brows and add four dots down the nose. These are also outlined with the black liquid liner and filled in with your desired paint color.
  • Draw a nice swirl and two tear drop forms below the eye flower using the black liquid liner. Add two more pearls or jewels on top of the tear drops.
  • Now, add some dots below that beautiful form and fill them in with your desired color.
  • With the black face paint, simply blacken the nose. Add a small black heart above the top lip to compliment the blackened nose.
  • For this next part use a face paint color that is darker.
  • Carefully paint an "opening" in the cheek.
  • With the black liquid liner, add stitching on top of this.
  • Continue the stitching onto the top and bottom lips.
  • Using the black liquid liner, draw a small flower on the chin.
  • Fill this in with face paint colors that you desire.
  • Add some glitter.
  • Add black dots around the outside of the flower.
  • Draw a swirl with black dots beside it.
  • Now go look in the mirror and take some selfies!

You're now looking spooky and sexy for a night of fun festivities.

From 1794 to 1800, corsets were short and not universally worn. "Corsettes" about six inches long were mostly used. From 1800 to 1811 corsets became longer. An example of one during this time is the "Divorce Corset" which appeared in 1816. It was merely a device to separate one breast from another.

Tight lacing became progressively more severe during this time period. In the late 1860's a waist measurement of 18 to 21 inches was frequently achieved. Women wore corsets so tightly and so often that they were unable to sit or stand upright without them.

During the 1880's the corset continued to be long-waisted and was often of elegant materials such as silk, satin and brocade, and of a great variety of colors. It was a girl's ambition to have, at marriage, a waist measurement not exceeding her age, and to marry before she was twenty-one.

The corset of 1908 was cut so deep that to sit down was nearly impossible. The Great War loosened the grip of the corset since women were replacing men in the work industry. The "Flapper" era introduced new elastic fabrics. Roundness of shape began to creep back into fashion.

The corset was now considered a girdle. It flattened the stomach and bottom. The breasts were the main focus of this time. It was almost a legal requirement to wear this garment. A women not wearing a girdle was considered improperly dressed.

Corsetry was heavily advertised on television and many garments were given exotic names. Panty styles became more and more popular in the late 60's. The panty corselette also became popular for older women, as it covered up defects.

Corsetry sales slumped in the 1970's. It was said that 54% of women under the age of 35 rejected the garments. The word girdle itself conjured up old fashioned ideas of control and restraint. Women preferred to diet rather than wear such garments.

In the early 1980's the corset was completely out of style and only worn by elderly women. It was no longer acceptable for the bottom to be a flattened cushion. Girdles were produced with seams down the back to emphasize the buttocks.

During this time there was an increased awareness of the fetish aspects of clothing. The more extreme aspects of corset wearing also appeared to be coming back into fashion with some women. It was often used as a stimulus for sexual as well as visual pleasure.

Today, more than ever, corsetry is used as a sexual stimulus. There are a variety of fabrics used to make them even including leather. Other than being used for visual pleasure, it is a new trend that women and men get them pierced into their bodies (as seen in the photograph). Also, since tattooing is more and more popular among this generation, men and women will get corsets tattooed into their skin.
