Welcome to our nursery

Whether you are searching for the new and exciting or the dependable, traditional favorites, Fancy Foliage offers an extensive selection of healthy, hardy, extensive plants ready to flourish in your landscape.

Our family owned and operated nursery produces most of the trees and shrubs we sell at our 35 acre farm located on the borders of Berks and Lehigh Counties.

Throughout history, gardening with perennial flowers has caught the fancy of many gardeners. They are easy to grow, bloom year after year, provide fragrance or attractive foliage and can change with the season.

Whether you favor wild or natural gardens with no particular design style, or carefully thought out displays of contrasting textures and forms, timing the bloom of your plantings is the most interesting and exciting feature of perennial gardening.

Whether you are looking for a natural woodland atmosphere or a planned design, shrubs create exciting yearlong interest.

Shrubs have a diversity among themselves that is immeasurable. They work in combination with trees and/or perennials to form borders, anchor structures, soften hard lines of architecture or simply cover and help stabilize the soil.

Our fields produce a diverse assortment of flowering, ornamental, and shade trees. We stock evergreen varieties from reliable northern climate growers for their inherent toughness.

Trees give your neighborhood a sense of character. All too often someone may plant the foundation of a home with little consideration for the impact a few properly placed trees can provide. The early spring blooms of Japanese Cherry and Flowering Pear coax us to come outdoors. The canopies of Honeylocust or Oak provide a shady respite to summers sun and heat. Maples are set ablaze during the chill of frosty nights.

Fancy Foliage offers over forty different types unusual plants with a distinctive look for gardeners who desire a focal point or special site plant and for hardcore collectors who appreciate the marvels of nature.

Many of the evergreen selections are conifers which have been grafted to preserve abnormalities of shape, color, or branching pattern. Plants like Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar, Vanderwolf Pine, or Klein's Nest Fir are examples of these.
