Our facility operates off wind and solar energy. These power systems have 100 times better lifetime energy yield than either nuclear or fossil energy system per ton of mined materials.
We have offset 3,800 tons of CO2 emissions, equivalent to planting 800 acres of pines trees by using solar energy in our facility.
Our use of wind energy offset approximately 7,800 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2).
Surplus energy from the facility is provided to the local utility company, supplying power to the community.
We use only renewably sourced material such as paper, pulp and fabric.
Post consumer recycled fiber paper is used in our packaging.
We use pulp made from scrap paper collected in the paper packaging division along with collected material.
Our sustainable fabric is made from recycled plastic bottles. In 2016, 378,127 plastic bottles were removed from the waste stream and used for fabric manufacturing.
By participating in our program, you will receive points for dropping your recyclables into one of our solar-powered kiosks. Points are redeemable online for goods, coupons and more.
