User Testing

  1. 1. In My Requirements, view your class suggestions for Understanding Self & Others to see what classes fit under this requirement. Register for a Humanities class at Monday and Wednesday at 3:00PM.
  2. 2. Schedule an appointment with your advisor on a Tuesday at 9:00AM.
  3. 3. Search for an Art History class for Mondays and Wednesdays in the morning and afternoon.
  4. 4. You want to take Art History 380. Find out if you meet the prerequisites.
  5. 5. You do not want to take College Algebra anymore for next semester. Delete it from your Saved Courses before your enrollment date.
  6. 6. Compare your schedule plans.
  7. 7. You recently changed your major. You view what classes you need to take in order to complete your new major.
  8. 8. It’s Add & Drop week, and you really did not like your first class of Digital Photography. If you dropped the course, you will not have enough credits to be a full-time student. Through your phone, you quickly drop the course and add Intro to Creative Writing.
  9. 9. Before school begins, you view your current schedule through your phone. You view your schedule in Weekly View and screenshot it.
  10. 10. It’s time to enroll for your classes for next semester. Your enrollment time is for 10:00 AM and you are on your way to class. You use your phone to register for your courses.

Three Most Serious Usability Problems From First Testing

  • 1. None of the users could find Enrollment Date.
  • 2. In mobile, no one swiped to slect a class in Drop & Swap.
  • 3. Most of the users wanted to continue dropping a class even though it would not make you a Full-Time Student.
