History

The Black Heritage Day Festival is a day of fun and festivities but it is meant to offer so much more than that. The festival is a source of knowledge on African culture and meant to be offered to the underprivileged families in the community, so as to educate and inspire the younger generation. Without this festival the youth are missing out on valuable lessons on their history and culture.

This website is meant to help raise awareness once again for the return of the Black Heritage Day Festival in the upcoming year of 2016. Community members are given knowledge through the site on how to apply and give their time to help organize the event but also learn about the Center City Thrift Hub and the role it plays in supporting the festival's return.

The Center City Thrift Hub offers quality items to fit most any need at a bargain, but more importantly a portion of the store's profits will go towards funding the festival. By shopping from the Center City Thrift Hub not only do the people save money on common day, pricey items and support a local business, but they promote an important and entertaining event for family.
