UX Testing
UX Questions
- Family of five, two adults and three children, want to ski for one day, purchasing as a guest.
- One adult, already has an Evolution Stowe Card, wants to snowboard throughout the season.
- One adult and one child on a phone who want to ski for three days and want to pay for food as well.
- Two adults who do not have their own equipment want to snowboard for two days and already have an Evolution Stowe Card, on a phone.
- Two seniors and one child skiing for four days, have never been to Stowe before, and may go back throughout the season, so they decide to get season passes instead of tickets.
UX Results | Problems
- End date for purchasing daily tickets.
- Information on ESC card in checkout - if they have one, place for number, if not, reminder that they need one per customer and an option to add to cart.
- Link the images in content area on the home page to the designated product pages.
- Adjust the sizes of input boxes on various product pages.
- Make necessary items clearer and simpler.
- Move mobile navigation to the top.
Major Revisions
Throught the user testing, it became very clear to me that people do not read much, just click and hope for the best. They had challenges seeking out certain items, and the need to reload or purchase an ESC card in order to ski was not clear enough.
In conclusion, there are still a number of revisions that should be made. The most prominent of those changes are likely the ability to choose an end date for daily tickets, the involvement of the Evolution Stowe Card in the checkout process, and moving the mobile navigation near the top of the window instead of below the content.
